We recently had hardwood floors installed, and I agreed to remove the old floor coverings. We discovered a joist with a 1″ upward crown in a major traffic area. With only 5 days before the installers arrived, we called MidState. The contractor (Tim Logan) showed up within two days, even after 4″ of ice and snow had blanketed the area. He cut the joist, sistered it to a new joist, and lowered the crown enough that underlayment could smooth out the minor difference. Two days after the floor install began, a second joist was identified. Tim showed up the next day, planed the joist down to level, and layed new subfloor. The floor install went without a hitch. Tim’s services were exceptional, timely, and reasonably priced. We would gladly hire their services again, & would recommend them to others.
